Friday, June 23, 1972:

The founding meeting of the Imst Tennis Club (the name will be changed to “Tennis Association” later) takes place at the Hotel “Hohe Warte”. Dr. Sven Stapf, chairman of the founding committee, welcomes approximately 40 interested parties. Dr. Luxner, the representative of the municipality, presents the following nomination, which is accepted by all those present:

Treasurer : Ing. Otto Perny, Egmont Maier
Sports Director : Werner Kenzevic, Helga Sperl
Committee Members : DDr. Wilhelm Kundratitz, Dr. Josef Huber, Dir. Roman Laußermayr, OL Gerold Parth
Audit Committee : Dr. Richard Luxner, Mag. Otto Pommer, Mag. Georg Hietsch
Secretary : Sigrid Eisenrigler, Ruth Canal

Two pitches are available for play for two seasons: the Eisenrigler pitch and the Stapf pitch. The club is gaining more and more members; the 100th member is welcomed in the founding year.

1974:

A dedicated facility was needed. Four courts in a beautiful location and a well-designed, comfortable clubhouse are now available to members after much hard work. The club owes this primarily to the initiative of the municipality, Mayor Adolf Walch, the support of various institutions, but also to the tireless efforts of the building committee, especially Dieter Lhota, and numerous members!

Further milestones:

1978:  Courts 5 and 6 are constructed.
1992:  Court 7 and the hitting wall are completed, the clubhouse is renovated, and sanitary facilities are added.
2007:  The solar panels on the roof of the clubhouse ensure environmentally friendly hot water production.

Over the years, numerous tenants of the tennis café in the clubhouse catered to the well-being of club members. The longest-serving among them was  Hubert Bubik , who shaped the family atmosphere of TC Imst.

August 3, 2010: The website tcimst.com  goes online for the first time.

November 1, 2019: A completely redesigned, modern version of our homepage celebrates its premiere on the WWW.

2026: We’re launching eTennis .
