The 2025 city championships ended last weekend, concluding six weeks of tragedies and triumphs.
What makes us especially happy: a new record number of participants with 218 entries – a huge thank you goes to our sensational tournament organizer and director Luigi and his great team!
There’s a new city champion in the women’s competition: Julia Greuter triumphed with impressive dominance throughout the entire tournament – congratulations on her first title! It’s also worth mentioning how strong the supposedly “middle-aged” but physically and mentally still quite young women were. Kudos to Beate, Uschi, and Daniela, for example.
It’s business as usual for the men: The Pfefferkorn brothers faced off again , and once again – after a hard-fought battle – Fabian defeated Daniel 6-3, 1-6, 6-2. Congratulations on your fifth title overall!
We are also pleased to announce two new competitions compared to last year: the women’s taster competition (winner Felizia Schultes) and the Kids-U12 competition (winner Leo Thurner).
